Corrie works with adults dealing with various issues such as depression, anxiety, anger management, divorce recovery, dysfunctional family issues, grief, marital therapy, personal growth, sexual addiction, and stress management. Corrie received training in marriage and family therapy which enables her to effectively help couples with various concerns within their marriage, such as communication and conflict resolution, increasing healthy intimacy, developing healthy boundaries, and recovering from trust breaks and affairs. Corrie has received additional training in the Gottman Method and utilizes many of their interventions as part of her couple’s work. Corrie also utilizes Prepare/Enrich to provide premarital counseling for couples preparing for marriage.
Corrie has expanded her practice to include sex therapy and is qualified to treat various sexual issues including differences in desire, sexual addiction, erectile dysfunction, pain during sex, and premature ejaculation. She is a Christian Sex Therapist trained through the American Board for Christian Sex Therapy. This training allows her to address issues from both the Christian and non-Christian perspective, based on her client’s needs.
Corrie’s approach to therapy is cognitive-behavioral, with a strong emphasis on developing a good working relationship with her client. She is influenced by a Christian worldview and incorporates this worldview into her sessions based on the preferences of the client.
Corrie earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her previous experience includes working with couples and adults in a private practice setting as well as treating court-mandated sex offenders in an outpatient setting.
