Sara issarabpic currently working through her internship under the supervision of Lisa Poore, MS, LPC.  Sara is projected to complete her M.A. in Counseling from Liberty University at the end of 2015.  She also holds a bachelor’s degree from Liberty, which she completed in 1995.

After the completion of her undergraduate degree, she enjoyed working as a care counselor in a group home for neglected and abused children.  A deeper passion for caring for others was realized while working with teenagers as a volunteer youth leader in her church.  Sara has a good deal of life experience to offer.  While she worked in various business roles, including event planning, project management, and marketing for companies like John C. Maxwell’s leadership organization and The 1% Club, she informally counseled women and teenagers for years.

Sara has been married to her husband Tim for 19 years and together they are blessed with three children.  She has enjoyed co-leading marriage intensives with her husband through the Atlanta Center for Marriages, and they frequently mentor pre-marital couples together.

Sara aims to come alongside each client so that she or he feels safe, accepted, and valued.  Problems are assessed in an integrative fashion and viewed through a Biblical lens.  Sara has a Christian worldview, and is looking forward to gaining experience with a wide variety of issues.
